| My interest in photography started at an early age. Armed with a simple Kodak Instamatic camera, I sought to photograph the world around me. I constantly pushed the limits of that basic camera, striving to capture images for which a far more advanced 35mm camera was designed. I later graduated to a Pentax 35mm camera, and now utilize a professional Nikon DSLR. My passion grew as I studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I received my degree in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in Lighting Design. My eye is attracted to details others might dismiss: the texture of a rose petal, the contrast of highlight and shadow, the detailed work of an older building or the visual compositions found all around us. The images found in my portfolio represent over twenty-five years of ongoing work. I am always seeking out new photographs waiting to be captured, and plan to continue to add to my collection.
